This might seem odd to some, but I would like to hear RLJ cover "Valentines Day" by Bruce Springsteen, a little known acoustic cut from his Tunnel of Love album. here's a link to a performance:

I saw Rickie Lee perform Goffin-King's classic "Up on the Roof" at a 1999 People Magazine Tribute Concert for Carole King. Would love to hear her record this cover. "Goin' Back" would also be great to hear performed by RLJ.

Hi Bob, you should browse on over and order Live at the Roxy or at least listen to the sound clip:

Was listening to Joe's Pub; must admit it's a favorite. Enjoy...

That's simple, I've given this a lot of thought. I'd like Rickie to rework two of Marvin Gaye's songs and put them together. The B-Side "Sad Tomorrows" and his his duet classic "If This World Were Mine". That would be a wonderful recording!!!...

A few years ago Cat Power came into my studio to record an acoustic session
and amongst the songs she recorded that day were 2 Fleetwood Mac tunes and
a Pavement song. I thought, even at the time that a Pavement song would be
a good choice for Rickie to cover. Either the one CP covered ('We Dance') or 'Here',
I have never heard another female singer cover Pavement's music and I am sure Rickie
would do them justice.

saw rlj at a laura nyro tribute concert many years ago. she covered 2 or 3 songs. she was amazing blew everyone away. nothing ever showed up of recordings. it would be amazing if she would cover them again. at 56 yrs old i dont recall which songs they were. it was a magical night for me am a huge fan of both

I read on a Laura Nyro website that Rickie covered "You Don't Love Me When I Cry" and "Been on a Train" - I can't tell you how much I would love to hear those versions, shame they've never surfaced

Any of the old jazz standards. She has already done 13 of them, and her renditions are amazing. Her phrasing shows she is a true jazz singer ... pop singers don't phrase like that. It is time for her to do another jazz album.
