Rickie Lee Jones, one of our very finest singer-songwriters, is equally well-known for her passionate political activism on behalf of causes she deeply believes in, from workers rights to universal healthcare to anti-war activism to protecting our freedom of speech.   A longtime, outspoken critic of George W. Bush's dangerously inept administration, Rickie is putting the call out to like-minded artists—specifically in the areas of video, film and animation--to submit footage to accompany her song "Ugly Man".  

The lyrics of "Ugly Man" speak for themselves (see below); interested artists who wish to submit their work should email Rickie via MySpace with a brief mission statement describing their submission and a link to the footage they've created.   We're asking that all submissions be sent in no later than May 15th.  Please be sure to put "Ugly Man video submission" in the Subject line of your submission email, and don't forget to send it to Rickie Lee here, via MySpace.

The winning submission will be featured on Rickie's official website, her MySpace site and will also be posted to YouTube.
